Dear Parents, Guardians, and Supporters of the Tomball West Legacy Theatre Department,
Welcome to the inaugural year of the Tomball West Legacy Theatre Department, and a special welcome to our founding 9th and 10th-grade theatre students and their families! We are the Tomball West Legacy Theatre Booster Club, proudly known as the Legacy Booster. As a newly formed, parent-led organization, our primary mission is to build a strong foundation, assist, and nurture the growth of our school's theatre program from the ground up.
Starting a brand-new program is an incredible adventure. While our talented students are ready to bring stories to life on stage, we are starting from scratch and need to build the infrastructure required to support their stage aspirations. Our success depends heavily on the collaboration of our dedicated directors, administrators, students, and, most importantly, parents like you.
As we launch this year, the Legacy Booster will focus on securing the essential tools and resources needed to get our club started. Here are a few ways we plan to support our theatre students throughout the year:
Funding Basics: Organizing two fundraisers over the school year to purchase essential production items that school funding alone cannot cover. Seeking sponsorships within the community to help build community relationships.
Student Care: Providing meals, hydration, and snacks to keep our hard-working cast and crew energized during busy rehearsal and production schedules.
Event Production: Managing front-of-house operations, decorations and concessions during our live performances. Marketing performances through social media and assisting with production needs.
Community Building: Planning student social events and establishing traditions, leading up to an end-of-year theatre celebration.
Future Planning: Laying the groundwork for future initiatives as our program grows in the next few years to pave the way for a more streamlined process and foster an environment of a welcoming community for volunteers, where we can enjoy working side-by-side with a shared purpose: championing our kids and celebrating their stage aspirations.
By becoming a member of the Legacy Booster, you will play a direct role in shaping the traditions and environment of Tomball West Legacy Theatre. Members will receive the latest updates on our upcoming production schedule, upcoming volunteer needs, and details on how to contribute to our foundational fundraising efforts.
